 Received book but no cd
Item was sold as a book/cd combination. However, when I received the item, only the book was included. I will not use this seller again.
 Well written stat book
I had to get this book for a graduate level class. This is a well written book. I am coming to the conclusion that a text book needs to be in color to emphasize content or examples. This is very helpful in this book which is math laden. You will only need to know basic algebra (if that) for this material. Some higher math may help you. There are a lot of examples that show how to use the formulas. Much of which is "plug & chug" to get an answer. The concepts are well explained and there are good real-world examples. There are plenty of solutions in the back of the book. The examples also include graphs to show how the data sets are presented. There are plenty of reference tables for t, f, z and chi values. The CD that came with mine has a stat analysis add-on for Excel. It was called Megastat. I liked it better than the Excel data analysis tool. The CD had a lot of data sets to play with as well. If you can put information into a spreadsheet, you can use this book to help build an understanding of the analysis output. This is a good foundation book for statistical analysis.
Good text for basic statistics
I teach business statistics at a university and have used several textbooks. This textbook does a very good job of explaining statistics and the problems are good ones. The book is easy to read and understand and I would highly reccomend this textbook.
 I can't rate the book because I've not opened the package and never got to use the book!!
It would be helpful to allow a consumer to know the difference of standard mail and expedited delivery. We thought of standard delivery as 3-5 days and expedited to be overnight. You are not told until you choose which delivery method and that is when you've already indicated your preference. I followed up immediately and indicated the book would be of no use since the sender had up to mid June to get us the book. This book was needed for a class that had 2 exams prior to receipt of the book. We do not need or want the book and plan on sending it back without having ever been opened. I wish to have full credit. However, to avoid any further frustration I need to be assured that I will receive a credit immediately.
